Cascade was retained by the Vancouver Organising Committee to conduct an Environmental Assessment of the Whistler Creekside location for the 2010
Olympic Games. This presentation outlines how we were able to successfully avoid environmental impacts from the construction of this venue by
working closely with representatives from the Federation Internationale de Ski (FIS) on design changes.

CERG’s presentation to the 2008 ESRI user conference discusses our participation in a race course homologation for the Federation International de Ski (FIS).
Using cutting edge GIS technology, air photos and field GPS surveys, Cascade produced a 3-D model of the race course.

Delivered during the Guide Outfitters Association of BC workshop, this presentation discusses Wildlife Operating Procedures for Helicopter and Snowcat skiing in mountain caribou habitat.
Helicat management plans ensure avoidance of mountain caribou displacement and play an important part in understanding the distribution and sub-population sizes of mountain caribou.

Cascade's Kelowna presentation reviews the myriad of social and economic benefits of mountain biking, and highlights the essential elements to consider in order to
minimise the environmental disturbance potentially caused by the sport. Safety considerations and the features necessary to implement a comprehensive system of trails,
skills centres and facilities are also discussed.
