Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are a powerful analytical tool for a variety of environmental research applications. As a fully licensed operator of both ESRI’s ArcInfo 10.0 and PCI’s Geomatica software, Cascade Sierra can perform technically advanced spatial analysis and image processing. With the ability to integrate and layer spatial data from various sources as well as perform classifications on orthophotos and satellite imagery, Cascade examines geographic relationships within the data for land use assessments, wildlife studies, commercial recreation operations, and environmental restoration projects. 3D Spatial Modeling capabilities are used for a variety of research objectives including view-shed analysis, slope and aspect analysis, and watershed studies. Through the use of GIS and graphic design software Cascade produces colourful, informative, professional quality cartographic products.
